ArcticZen’s Cold Plunge comes with everything you need to start your journey into the cold. Learn about the many profound benefits of deliberate cold exposure therapy.
Chilling: Select from a 1/4hp to 1 horsepower chiller based on your needs. For most applications, we recommend a 1/2 horsepower as it will adequately cool your cold plunge down to 39°f all day, everyday – in most climates. The 1/4hp unit is great for indoor applications, especially if its in the room you sleep in as its the most quiet option we have. The 1hp option is usually only necessary in high use applications or in triple digit ambient temperatures, especially if you opt for the XL.
Insulation: Insulation is critical for your plunge to operate properly and efficiently. It also prevents condensation from dripping off your tub, plumbing or chiller. Our tubs are double walled and fully insulated from the interior with several layers of closed cell foam. This is known in the industry to be the best insulation available. All plumbing lines are also insulated to ensure efficient operating for your chiller.
Water Filter: ArcticZen cold plunges come with a 20 micron filter to help keep your water extremely clean.
Sanitation: Purchase Ozone or UV option. We recommend an occasional dose of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide for chemical free, sanitized water. Food grade hydrogen peroxide is comprised of only 2 components: oxygen and water. After the oxygen has worked it’s cleaning magic – hydrogen peroxide becomes nothing more than water and dries leaving nothing behind.
Pump: ArcticZen cold plunges come standard with a 1000+ gallon per hour pump that is plenty to keep your water fresh and circulated.
Power: Our cold plunges are designed to operate on a standard 110v outlet (grounded, GFI plug). ArcticZen plunges come with a digital timer that operates the pump and chiller. Simply plug the timer into a dedicated outlet and it will control your cold plunge pump and chiller based on when you want and need it cold. We recommend running your pump and chiller at least two hours per day. Many people set their timers to run once in the afternoon and once in the early morning hours and find our cold plunges are very power efficient due to the excellent insulation we use on all our tubs. If you would like us to preset your timer to run at certain times, please let us know and we will happily program it for you. Please consult your local, licensed electrician for proper installation of an appropriate outlet.
Cover: Optional fully insulated “spa cover” lid with clips that secure the lid to the plunge.
Size & Fit: The regular tub is great for anyone up to 6’1″. The XL is great for anyone up to 6’6″. If you are taller than 6’1″ you will still fit in the regular, just not as comfortably. But is being in a cold plunge really about comfort? If you are taller than 6’6″ or weigh more than 240lbs, we highly recommend our XXL Cold Plunge.
Dimensions: The regular tub is 62 long x 28 wide x 24 tall. The XL is 72 long x 35 wide x 24 tall. All options require an additional 24″ on one of the length sides to accommodate the chiller and minimum 12″ behind the unit to accommodate the plumbing & electrical. Regular size total foot print is 88 long x 40 wide. XL total footprint is 102 long x 45 wide x 23 tall. Keep in mind, these are minimum space requirements and we suggest having additional room around your plunge.
Warranty: All of our products are covered by our 1yr manufacturers warranty. An extended warranty is available at the time of purchase on most of our products.
